Review: Seabiscuit: An American Legend

Seabiscuit: An American Legend Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It was an interesting tale and very detailed. It started out slow, about for the first third of the book. I think I would have liked it more if it moved a little faster. Ms. Hillenbrand had definitely done her research; this book is full of facts! However, as a novel, it is slow-going. Also, as with Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, I dislike how she puts unnecessary, suggestive scenes in the story and glosses over vices as if they were nothing.
