Review: The Spear: A Novel of the Crucifixion

The Spear: A Novel of the Crucifixion by Louis de Wohl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have no words... this book is amazing. I've always enjoyed historical fiction but combined with the story of the Passion... Louis de Wohl does an incredible job of accurately portraying the characters' emotions. When I read the dialogue, I can truly feel and sympathize with the character's angst, joy, sorrow, etc.

There are times where I want to curl up and hide in my room, trying to shut out the world around me... retreating into my "safety bubble" that I make for myself. As an introvert, it can be very hard and painfu…
